Weekly Cartel Update - Mar. 25

For the second week in a row all four members of the Cartel were present for the weekly meeting, albeit one member (Darlene) forgot to bring her LED membership secret decoder light. The conversation, at times, was quite animated as the women of the group failed to recognize that the majority of problems men face today are caused by women. Eventually the question was put to a vote and the consensus was that men’s problems are indeed caused mainly by women.

The staff at Wild Wing was once attentive and responsive to the needs of the Cartel and were rewarded for their extraordinary effort with the presentation of a Lime, Orange, and Lemon Salt & Pepper set. I know it doesn’t make sense to have three in a set but get over it (LED). Pictured here is the very lovely Ali. Despite her protestations, I’m sure that you will all agree that Ali is extremely photogenic. Why is it that women don’t believe that they are photogenic even when they are obviously very beautiful? Who knows - maybe that will be a rant for the future.

Anyway - off to the movies to see Inside Man with Denzel Washington and Clive Owen ( one of my favourite actors). A good movie but you could take a miss on the Big Screen and settle to see it on DVD.

Weekly Cartel Update - Mar. 18

History was made this week as all four members of the Cartel were present at this weeks meeting. This has never happened before in the history of the Cartel and, considering the prognostications of Dr. DandyCube two weeks ago, we were prepared for the worst.

Alas, the meeting went well and, given the historic nature of the meeting, Mrs. C (LED) presented the Cartel with a symbolic icon of the historic event. The Latin inscription on the icon roughly translates to - may our wit, charm, intelligence, and general good looks shine forever - or something like that. You may also notice in the picture, in order to preserve and give testament to the once male heritage of the Cartel, the event was also attended by a long legged California blonde in a bikini. Can life get any better!

The staff at Wild Wing was presented with a Salt & Pepper set smuggled out of Alcatraz, may I say at great risk to me personally, during my recent visit there.

I have also documented a few of the other sets available for viewing at Wild Wing.

Additional documentation expected in the weeks to come. Alternatively you could visit Wild Wing and indulge in the best wings and staff this side of the Mississippi while enjoying the many Salt & Pepper sets lining the walls.

After dinner we proceeded to the moving pictures to take in ‘V for Vendetta’. I must say an excellent movie despite the underlying message that change through terrorism is acceptable. Go see it on the Big Screen - well worth it.

Weekly Cartel Update - A Dr. Dandycube Perspective

The Cartel : A Story of Numbers, Honey and Wings

According to Pythagoras, the number 1 represents unity and all that is good; the number 2 represents all that is evil; the number 3 represents the sum of one and two, good and evil, and is therefore mankind; the number four is the cartel, four times goodness, four super heroes, four quantum numbers. As you well remember, the position of an electron around an atom in three dimensional space is defined by 4 very unique quantum numbers. And no two electrons can have the same 4 quantum numbers or they will occupy the same space and...well, you can only imagine the consequences. Alas (I love this word...it makes me sound so very pretentious), alas, the 4 members of the cartel can also not seem to occupy the same space at the same time....it seems destiny, and yet I think there must be something of the survival of mankind at stake. Does the President of the United States, the Vice President and all their staff travel in AirForce One at the same time? No! Never at the same time! There is a reason for this. Alas, one member of the cartel seems destined to be absent each week. While graced with the presence of the ever angelic LED we were absent the darling Darlene.

But as always, we were cared for and nurtured by the fabulously beautiful Wild Wing staff....should I go so far as to say that each has a face like a fresh blush rose, hair like fine silk and a smile that is an imprisoned wandering sunbeam; each is a goddess more fairy-like than Titania, more beautiful than Venus, more enchanting than Parthenope....dear sweet innocent souls! (note that this is not an apology for last week's remarks, just a Ying for the Yang). Only at Wild Wings can one sink into the ethereal blissfulness that encompasses the well-dined. I always feel sentimental, myself, after dinner. It is the only time that I can fully appreciate the offerings of Hollywood...though never so sentimental as to appreciate a certain movie about mountains and cowpokes.

Weekly Cartel Update - Mar. 3

Yet again the Cartel failed to achieve full membership at our weekly meeting. It was close though as all members were originally committed to be there but at the last minute Darlene backed out as she was caught working late. Dr. Dandycube has a theory (something to do with Quantum Physics which I will present on my blog sometime soon) as to why it is impossible for all four of us to meet at the same time.

Mrs. C (aka L.E.D.) did achieve full membership this week as she was finally able to find her first suitable Salt & Pepper set for presentation to the staff at Wild Wing. Once again Crystal was our honourary recipient - though we found out later that she was partially responsible for smashing the Santa from an earlier set. Crystal has promised, however, to take more care in the future and move the sets that are in danger of further damage to a safer location. We will be looking to see that you keep your promise, Crystal!

Now I must make amends for last week. Apparently Tanya was a wee bit upset at the picture of her that I posted last week. I hope to make up for that with this picture which I had also taken last week. Also - apparently I made a mistake last week when I mentioned that Tanya is often late for work. It was pointed out to me that Tanya is never late for work as her hours are 'ish hours. In other words she starts at 6ish and works until wheneverish. Therefore, by definition it is impossible for her to be late. I rarely apologize Tanya, so I hope you appreciate the sacrifice I have made here on my blog.

Next week I will be cruising the streets and beaches of Los Angeles so I will be unable to attend the meeting next weekend, something to do with Quantum Physics. However, on behalf of the Cartel I want to extend my thanks to the girls this week; Crystal, Charlene, and Tanya. The beer was cold - the wings were wonderful - and the conversation lively. See you all in two weeks - if I come back!

After the meeting we were off to the movies. 16 Blocks with Bruce Willis. You can't go wrong with Bruce though I must say his Die Hard days are behind him.
